|Ranger guided encounters operate seven nights a week from 7pm from Nov to late March excluding 24, 25 and 31 Dec. There are NO set tour times. Rangers will get you on to the beach as soon as they can once there is a sighting of turtle activity.
*Nesting Turtles can be viewed after dark from Nov to Jan.
*Turtle hatchlings can be viewed at night from Jan to March.
Please be aware that turtles are wild marine animals and we cannot guarantee you will see either nesting turtles or hatchlings. On occasional evenings turtles do not arrive at all.
Public access to Mon Repos Beach is CLOSED from Nov to Apr between 6pm and 6am.
You may be given the opportunity to use a camera - if so, your Guide will advise when this is possible.

Make Booking / Sale
- Insect repellent (bug spray)
- Drinking water. There is a food van on site open nightly.
- Footwear suitable for walking on a beach at night - there are some rocky sections on the beach and caution is needed. There may be occasions where you need to walk in the water.
- A coat (cardigan, sweater, light jacket) as it may get cold.
- Rain jacket (rain coat) as shelter is limited during rain. Umbrellas are NOT permitted on the beach for safety reasons.
Please feel free to bring activities for children as you may have to wait for some time before your group is called to the beach.
Pick up Point
Please make your own way to the Mon Repos Conservation Park - located at 141 Mon Repos Rd, Bargara between 6.30pm and 6.45pm on the night that you are booked.
Queue at entrance of Mon Repos Information Centre. It will open at 7pm. Where you are in the queue will not determine what group you are in - this is done by time/date of your booking.
Please note disability access is available to all areas via ramps excepting the beach.One beach wheelchair is available for public use, this however needs to be booked in advance by calling Mon Repos Conservation Park on 07-4159 1652. ***Some conditions do apply.
**Please note that Senior concession means Australian & International senior pension. Full time student = 15+ with photo I.D; student price also includes a centrelink or vetran affairs concession card , please make cards available for viewing at all times).
**Bookings are essential as some nights do get booked out 2-3 nights in advance. Bookings can be made each year from the 1st of September, with the season ending Mid to Late March.
**Please be aware that turtles are classed as wild marine animals and therefore we cannot guarantee that you will see either nesting or hatching turtles. On occasional evenings turtles or hatchlings do not arrive at all.
Please note that your booking is not confirmed until full payment has been made, if full payment has not been received 24 hrs prior to the tour the booking may be cancelled, your booking will only be available for the night that appears on ticket
Cancellation and Indemnity
Please note that Bundaberg North Burnett Tourism reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee if you cancel for the evening you have booked. the admin fee of $3 is NON REFUNDABLE.
Please note if you are not taken to the beach on the night that you have booked or if you decide to leave prior to your group going onto the beach there will be no refund offered.
All monies will be forfeited if you do not turn up on the night you are booked or do not attempt to contact Bundaberg Visitor Centre to change your pre booked ticket prior to 5pm on the tour date.
