The International Mini Bike Stunt Team will be in Bundaberg for one afternoon only with Big Stunts, Little Bikes and a spectacular, action packed comedy circus stunt show. This is a children’s show but will be enjoyed by the adults as well. In early April the Bundy Easter Roundup will be on again presented by the Bundaberg Country Music Club Incorporated. Bring the caravan and camp onsite so you don’t miss any of the entertainment which includes a talent quest (26 sections) with Juvenile, Golden Oldies, as well as male and female vocalists, plus food and drinks will be available onsite.

Friday night sit back and be entertained by Country Gospel with a Judges Variety Concert on Saturday night.  There are camping sites both powered and without power available and the gates will be open on the day before the concert.

GEMBOREE is the National Gem and Mineral Show which is held at Easter, hosted in a different state each year on rotation. The main aim of this event is to promote and foster a continued interest in all facets of the lapidary arts. Next year the GEMBOREE will be hosted by the Bundaberg Gem and Mineral Society Incorporated which is a member of the Queensland Gem Clubs Association.

Lapidary traders from all around Australia, along with the well known gem cutting company, Lambert Industries, will have on offer a wide variety of goods for sale including precious stones, semi- precious stones, fossils, minerals, crystals, jewellery and lapidary supplies and machinery. This event attracts ‘rock hounds’ from all around Australia, many of whom will camp onsite to enjoy all the activities on offer.

Woodgate@Easter is a celebration of family fun, community involvement and all that's great about the beach, movies and markets.  On Friday night we have a family movie under the stars - bring your own food and drinks or purchase on site.  Easter Monday is the huge fair incorporating over 170 market stalls selling fruit and vegetable, food, clothes, plants and everything old and new.  Percussionist Steve Langton will be conducting workshops for all ages; there will be children’s amusements, rides, games and a whole lot more, fun in the sun at Woodgate.

The Rotary Club of Bundaberg will conduct their annual Agro-Trend Field Days one of Australia’s longest running field days in April. Agro-Trend offers exhibitors of some 30 plus industries, the opportunity to showcase their latest innovations for the thousands of patrons who attend each year. Industries generally represented are sugar, horticulture, irrigation, machinery, motor vehicles, trucks, livestock, aquaculture, agricultural supplies, rain water tanks, boats, saw mills, arts, crafts, rural software, education, health and lifestyle choices to name a few. Bundy’s Aussie Country Muster is on again next year with a whole week of live Country Music, family entertainment at its best. There will be concerts by local artists, bands and invited professional guest artists featuring daily Walk up Entertainment with Rocket and Ally. An old time dance will be held on Wednesday night and a Variety Concert by selected guest artists on Thursday and Friday nights. On Sunday morning enjoy Bush poetry by leading professionals and walk up poets at Poet’s Breakfast followed by ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­Gospel Hour. Bring the camping gear along as there are great facilities at the site and it is close to a major shopping complex. The Ring Road Run is an annual event which is scheduled on the Sunday of the Queen’s Birthday weekend.  This long weekend provides people all over Australia the opportunity to visit the Bundaberg region and participate in a running event while enjoying the wonderful activities Bundaberg has to offer – visit Mon Repos Conservation Park, taste test at Bundaberg Brewed Drinks, tour the Bundaberg Rum Distillery, learn history at Hinkler Hall of Aviation and the Bundaberg Railway Museum or just enjoy a lazy day at one of the beaches surrounding the coast of Bundaberg.  The Ring Road Run will take advantage of the pristine running foundation along the Bundaberg Ring Road with the start and finish of the race at St Luke’s Anglican School, and you can walk or run - the main idea is to have fun, get some exercise and help raise money for some worthy charities.

This event is open to everyone who registers with the organisers, so give Bundaberg Volunteer Marine Rescue a call and make sure you are registered.  All funds raised will go towards Bundaberg Volunteer Marine Rescue and its service to the boating community of Bundaberg and surrounding areas. Elliott Heads State School will be holding their Centenary Celebration next year so make sure to mark this one on the calendar. The Bundaberg Quilters will be celebrating their 25^th Anniversary from the 3-5 August 2012 and this special exhibition will include more than 250 quilts, traditional and contemporary that have not been shown before, a quilt challenge to be voted on by visitors, works by the Textile Art Group as well as market stalls of handmade articles and trader’s stalls. There will be a guest quilter who will demonstrate her work during the exhibition plus demonstrations of traditional and contemporary methods. Light refreshments will be available at a reasonable cost and all the family are invited to come along and enjoy the excellent range of quilts that will be on display.

Moore Park Beach Festival of Arts is an event that includes a temporary gallery in the Community Hall, last year there were over 200 entries and every year it gets bigger. Children’s entertainment includes Indigenous hands on activities, cultural dancing, food stalls, craft stalls, camel rides, sand sculpting and giant kites. Beach activities include miniature horses, drum making and much more.

The festival commences on Friday with school bands playing from 10.00 a.m. to noon, and the official opening ceremony is held between 6.30 p.m. to 9.00 p.m. The Arts judging will commence on Friday after 1.00 p.m. There will be a free raffle with visitors providing their name and address; this is beside a Festival raffle.  The Festival is held over four separate interconnecting areas, Community Hall, Bi-Centennial oval, Bob Nielsen Park and the beach.

The Gin Gin Regional Courthouse Gallery presents an “Art Sale” exhibition to bring in the New Year.

Local artists from Gin Gin, Bundaberg, Biggenden, Childers, and around the region are lowering the prices of some of their artwork to display at the Gallery. The Gallery will halve their commission so that the public can grab a great piece of artwork at a very reduced price for the entire month of January and into February. There will be paintings in such mediums as acrylic, water-colour pencil, mixed media, water-colour, pastel, coloured charcoal, oil and perhaps some clay sculptures. If you have never visited the Gallery now would be the best time to visit and pick up a wonderful piece of local artwork.

The Apple Tree Creek markets are on again with a change of coordinators, at the Apple Tree Creek sports grounds. Come and grab a bargain from their wonderful array of stalls. They host everything from clothes, to bric a brac, plants, books, crafts and much more.

Bring the children along for a ride on the ponies and sample their great canteen for breakfast, morning tea or lunch, sit and enjoy the easy listening live entertainment. All are welcome, they have something for everyone; plus proceeds go to the Isis Flying Club, who maintain the air strip and keep it serviceable should it be required by the Royal Flying Doctor or any emergency. On the fourth Sunday of each month the Historic Burnett Heads Lighthouse is open for visitors. This lighthouse was erected at South Head Burnett Heads in 1873 and was operational for 99 years until it was replaced by a taller tower. The lighthouse was relocated to Lighthouse Park in 1972 for preservation and stands as a lasting icon of the district. A Heritage Trail brochure is available at the lighthouse when it is open, and guides those who wish to go on the Heritage Trail walk which wends from the Historic Lighthouse to the current operational lighthouse, through the former Pilot Station Reserve and along the foreshore.

Childers Arts Space presents an exhibition titled Bania Bloodwood. The title of the exhibition refers to the geographical area where the paintings were created at Bania Road Mount Perry, and is one of the tree species native to the area. Madeline King’s exhibition is an appreciation of the native flora of the area, her paintings explore the naturally occurring patterns and colour.
