The Childers Quilters will be holding a display of their beautiful work in the Church itself and this will be complimented by a display from the Childers Orchid Society. In the grounds this year we will have an Arts and Crafts Stall, Cake Stall, Plants for Sale, White Elephant Stall as well as games for the children. There is also a chance to dunk some local celebrities in the water of the Dunking Machine. Refreshments and food will be available from the kitchen and the barbeque.

The Habitus-Habitat touring exhibition features a selection of works created during a public art initiative of artist residencies carried out in conjunction with the development of six walking tracks by the Environmental Protection Agency in Queensland. The curatorial rationale of the project Habitus-Habitat is based on the concept that artmaking has the potential to generate a point of union between nature and culture. This exhibition showcases some of the finest contemporary art practice currently taking place in Queensland. It is as much about artmaking processes, about dialogue between artists and artworks, as it is about unique artistic expressions. There is an unfolding quality to the exhibition that becomes apparent when the threads of the many individual responses and journeys emerge, overlap, entwine and intersect with one another.
